Since moving from Detroit, Michigan in 1973, I have been making flameware pottery. Starting my own business, The Pottery Works in 1977.
I work alone using studio methods of throwing or hand building my cookware. I once fire my pieces to cone 13 2450° F in a 120 cubic foot kiln.
Flameware Pottery

Flameware is safe to use directly over a gas flame or an electric burner as well as in the oven and even the microwave.
These pots provide an even heating surface and continue to hold heat long after they have been removed from the oven or stovetop.
Like most cookware, you will want to use a cooking medium such as oil, butter, or another liquid.
Never use your Flameware dry.
After food has been removed, quenching hot pans with water will make cleaning a breeze.
Pots are diswasher safe and can be cleaned with metal pads or utensils; they are very durable and almost impossible to scratch.
